How Your Company Can Help
Thames21 is an environmental charity working to care for Greater London's
400 mile network of rivers, tributaries and canals. We work closely with London
businesses across a range of programmes and events to benefit the local
environment and local communities, as well as participants.
Funds raised from corporate events goes back into Thames21's community
based work. This means that the benefits of one-off events continue to
make a difference to local communities and the local environment in the
longer term. Some of the many companies we currently work with in London include:
Accor Services
Bank of New York Mellon
Betfair
Coca-Cola
Credit Suisse
Disney
Enjoy Work
Feel Good Drinks
Fulham Football Club
Jumeirah
Laing O’Rourke
M&G
Marriott Hotel
Starbucks
Sumitomo
Old Mutual
Unilever
There are lots of ways that companies can work with Thames21:
- Adopt a stretch of river foreshore and build team spirit at a clean
up (Thames21 will work with you set up an event for your staff)
- Clean-up a grot spot by your local canal.
- Support Thames21's education projects
- Sponsor a habitat improvement on the tidal Thames
- Sponsor a Passive Debris Collector on the Thames (aka a 'litter trap')
- Enhance a run down area with a waterside art installation
- Fundraise for Thames21 in the Great River Race.
- Distribute our e-newsletter to staff telling them about our work
and events
- Sponsor Thames21 clean up kit like wellies, graffiti removal kits
and gloves
- Underwrite events enabling Thames21 to divert money into local community
based project.
