"It was a really enjoyable day and I learnt a lot” (training day participant)
The next Waterway Champions Training Day will take place on Wednesday 17 February. For those that haven’t attended one of our Training Days, what are you waiting for – sign up today!
The FREE one-day course will cover various aspects of how to run your own waterway improvement event with volunteers including site selection, health and safety, publicity, promotion and leadership – all highly valuable transferable skills. You’ll also get to meet other like-minded young people, and receive a certificate and t-shirt when you’ve completed the one-day course! It’s a fantastic way to learn more about what we do, as well as having a really interesting addition to your CV. A free tour of the historic Miller's House will be included.
Attendees will also get to hear more about the waterway improvement events and activities taking place in the area as part of the new Lea River Park project, partner for this event.
The course will be held at the historic Miller's House, near Bromley by Bow tube station. Lunch is included and travel costs can be reimbursed.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please book your place before Monday 25th January.
TIME: 11am - 3.00pm
