Event Project Manager (short term contract)
Thames21 require an energetic individual to lead on coordinating a unique ‘celebration’ event as part of our programme for young people this April.
This is a great opportunity to create a really exciting one-off project in London – a first of its kind! We need an exceptional planner, with a real hands-on can-do attitude, who’s able to get stuck in and deal with all sorts of issues in order to set up a really exciting major event for up to 400 young people in a central London location.
This is an ambitious project, and we need a fearless candidate to bring it to life. The individual will be required to:
- coordinate all planning and preparation, liaising with key Thames21 staff, to set up an ambitious outdoor performance event
- set up and manage lead times necessary to produce all branding and visibility as required for the project
- source, negotiate and liaise with an artist to perform on the day
- engage and win over local business and residents in the lead up to the event
- resourcefully manage a limited budget
- assess and manage all necessary permissions and health and safety issues relevant to this event
- go the extra mile to make sure that this event has real impact and runs as smoothly as possible on the day.
Contract length: Approximately 30 days, flexible hours.
Salary: circa £2,000 (depending on experience)
The individual will be required to work from home, with occasional planning meetings at the Thames21 office in central London (EC4R)
