Name our new East London environmental project and win a Waterway Discovery Day for your school!
-
A competition open to all children and primary schools in Tower Hamlets and Newham.
-
Closing date for entries: FRIDAY 18 DECEMBER.

THE PROJECT:
Thames21 - London's leading waterways charity - is going to be transforming East London's canals and rivers and we need your help! Over the next two years we will be working with local volunteers to improve and care for the area's environment - making better places for people and wildlife.
As part of the project we're going to be running lots of different programmes, activities and opportunities for people to get involved in caring for their local environment, by:
- running exciting activities for schools and youth groups to learn more about local river wildlife by using underwater cameras.
- helping to clean-up the local area of litter and graffiti with volunteers and help create new habitat areas for wildlife.
- motivating local residents to care about their local environment and be part of improvement projects.
THE COMPETITION:
We need you to come up with an inspirational new name and logo for the project - something that inspires and motivates people to care for their local natural environment. The current name for the project is 'East London Community Waterways Project'. We're looking for something fresh, imaginative and exciting that will bring people across the East London boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham together. Get creating now!
