Volunteers needed for clean up on Lewisham river London's
leading waterways charity Thames21, the Ladywell Fields User Group and Lewisham
Police Cadets will be joining forces to clean and green a much-loved local
river.
The team and local volunteers will be cleaning the River Ravensbourne in Ladywell Fields on Sunday 29 April and will be clearing harmful and unsightly litter like plastic bags from the river and the river banks. Thames21's Enhancement Coordinator Vic Richardson said, "Thames21
provide practical support, including equipment to local people and organisations
interested in cleaning up their local stretch of river. Regular clean
ups help to protect wildlife habitats as well as benefiting local people
who use and enjoy this lovely open space." Event details |
