Volunteers needed for clean up on River Pool, Catford

Thames21 is urging local people to volunteer at a clean up event on the River Pool in Catford on Sunday October 29th to clear harmful litter from the river and river banks.

Thames21's Enhancement Coordinator Vic Richardson said, "Thames21 provide practical support, including equipment to local people and organisations interested in cleaning up their local stretch of river."

"We're inviting local people to take a few hours out of their weekend to help make a difference to the River Pool. Regular clean ups help to protect wildlife habitats as well as benefiting local people who use and enjoy this lovely open space."

All welcome. Equipment provided. Wear old clothes appropriate to the weather. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
