Legacies play an important part in helping Thames21 work with communities across London to protect rivers and enhance these valuable urban assets. Gifts in wills enable us to inspire people to learn about the importance of the river network and their role in conservation.
Making a will or an amendment to an existing will is more straight forward and less expensive than you might think. Thames21 strongly recommends using a professional legal advisor such as a solicitor when drawing up such documents of this nature.*
Here’s what you would need to do:
- Take your solicitor a list of your property and possessions, and any outstanding items such as mortgages, along with a list of who you would like to benefit from your will, such as family, friends and your favourite causes.
- If you kindly wish to include Thames21 in your will, you will need to provide the charity’s full details: Thames21, Bakers’ Hall, Harp Lane London EC3R 6LB and registered charity number 1103997.
We have prepared some simple steps about preparing your will, and how to make a particular bequest to assist you.
