Event description: Tired of looking at a filthy canal and towpath? Now is your chance to make a difference and get stuck in with our monthly litterpicks! Moo Canoes, Poplar Union and Friends of the Cut are working in partnership to put on a series of monthly litterpicks to tackle litter both on and off the water. With canoes and litter-picking equipment freely available at every event, the only thing missing is you! Don’t worry if you’ve never canoed before – the boats are very beginner-friendly and we’ll show you the ropes. For this family litterpick all are welcome as long as any under 18s are accompanied by an adult both on and off the water. Please be aware that on-water spaces may be limited. We endeavour to ensure that all volunteers get a go in the canoes over the course of each event, but there’s also plenty of litterpicking work to be done along the towpath while you’re waiting. Spaces are limited, so if you fancy getting involved, you must book – please email us on hello@moocanoes.com to get booked in!
