Action for Silk Stream – Beatty Road Consultation

The proposal is to create a flood storage basin on a section of the central green space on Beatty Road. This would help surface water runoff during heavy rainfall, reducing flooding downstream.

The proposal includes:

1. Creating a flood storage basin on a section of the central green space on Beatty Road.
2. Opening a short section of the river that is currently piped to further increase capacity.
3. Creating reinforced grass parking spaces on sections of the green edge.
4. Increasing wildlife habitat through new wetland planting.
