Badged Event: Stonebridge Lock Coalition – Lea Navigation bank repair

The Stonebridge Lock Coalition welcome volunteers to join them for river bank restoration work

This event is led by Stonebridge Lock Coalition & Canal and River Trust (CRT).
Together volunteers will be building a semipermeable bank repair on the Lee Navigation/Wild Marsh West. They will be scraping out and bagging up Floating Pennywort which is an invasive non-native species. This will be removed by CRT who have a licence for this.

The event also includes planting native riparian wildflowers and removing defunct and decaying fishing platforms.

Meet at the Waterside Centre, Stonebridge Lock, N17 0XD, 11.00 – 14.00pm

All tools and personal protective equipment will be provided. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Children are welcome but under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Join them for refreshments and a chat afterwards.
