Battersea clean-up and monitoring training

January 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join Thames21 and Thames Estuary Partnership to identify and remove the plastic from the Old Swan Wharf stretch of the foreshore.

We want to not only improve the site but better understand when and why the plastic is deposited. This is part of the Estuary Edges project which is investigating how reed habitats interact with the river, so we can better design new reedbeds in a way that they don’t collect litter.

At this session, we will accurately survey and remove the amount of litter we find.  We will then train up local volunteers to return to the site twice a week for the following 5 weeks by counting the number of bottles and sending us a photo. If you are interested in being part of the monitoring, please let us know in the registration form.
