Big Open Day at the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre

4th June 2017 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Join us for a fun-filled day of free activities at the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre set in 5.5 hectares of meadows, woodland and ponds. Try your hand at pond dipping and den building, explore the woodland through our  nature trail, or have your face painted! Once you’ve all of that done, thanks to Harry Mackie and his band you can enjoy some great live music while you tuck into your picnic.

 Getting to the event:

Buses: 83, 182, 245, 297, 302 buses pass within a ten-minute walk of the Centre.

Driving to the Centre: Birchen Grove is a minor road off Blackbird Hill with traffic lights at the junction.  Follow the signs to the Birchen Grove Garden Centre, we share their drive. A limited amount of public car parking is available at the Welsh Harp Open Space. There will be no parking available at the education centre during the event.
