Clean Up and Balsam removal at Watling Park, Burnt Oak, HA8

11th June 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Join Thames21, London’s leading waterways charity, to spruce up Watling Park around the Burnt Oak area. Help to create an inviting space for people and wildlife and improve your understanding of rivers, plants and animals at the same time. A focus on the day will be removing a plant called Himalayan Balsam, which is very invasive:

Meeting location is at the northern entrance of Watling park off Abbots Road. Look out for the Silver Thames21 van.

At Watling Park we will  also conduct some Riverfly Monitoring  as we did near the end of the event at Silkstream Park. If you wish to know more about what this is about, come to the event and/or have a look at this link, http://www.riverflies.org/rp-riverfly-monitoring-initiative

Enjoy your waterways,

Billy
