Dagenham Brook, Leyton: Planting in and around the river.

March 14 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Join Thames21, London’s leading waterways charity, to spruce up  Leyton Jubilee Park. The Dagenham Brook, flowing through the park,  has large amounts of plastic litter in it and woody debris blocking the flow. We will have thigh waders  so we can access all areas of the river. Help to create an inviting space for people and wildlife and improve your understanding of rivers, plants and animals at the same time. The focus on today’s event will be planting a variety of plants around the river corridor. The event is scheduled to finish at 1pm, but if we need to finish some planting,  you are welcome to help join a couple of us remaining.

All welcome and all equipment will be provided.  Under 16’s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.   Families are very welcome!  Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and Coffee will be provided.  Meeting in the car park of the Kukoolala Cafe off Marsh Lane.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Best regards,

Billy Coburn
