Enfield Chase Tree Care

June 30 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Trees for Rivers

Join us as part of Enfield Council’s Restoration of Enfield Chase project to help create one of London’s newest woodlands.

Over the winter we planted 50,000 trees, and now we need to provide after-care to ensure the best survival rate. For this event we’ll be doing a survey of the trees to see how well they survived that very dry April.

This event starts at 10am and we aim to wrap up by 3pm

We’ll be meeting at Rectory farm, and carrying on with the survival audit. I’d recommend long trousers rather than shorts, even if it’s hot, since we will wading through waist high grass!

Follow the track that leads off north from Ridgeway near the Royal Chace Hotel, then opposite the farm buildings at the bottom there’s a gate leading into the planted field (EN2 8AB or https://goo.gl/maps/VydeHuLCP3jW12Sf9). We’ll be meeting by that gate. Parking is just round the corner along the farm buildings (https://goo.gl/maps/yFhQrk77QhS7MtCU9) – if those spaces are full then you can park closer to where we’re meeting on the west side of the buildings.

Meet at 10am, and we’ll finish at 3pm or earlier if the heat defeats us. Please bring a lunch and refreshment.

Please can each person volunteering complete the registration form below.
