Enfield Chase Tree Care
July 28 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Trees for Rivers
Join us as part of Enfield Council’s Restoration of Enfield Chase project to help create one of London’s newest woodlands.
Over the winter we planted 50,000 trees, and now we need to provide after-care to ensure the best survival rate. For this event we’ll continue weeding the grasses that have grown around the trees, and I’d recommend long trousers rather than shorts (even if it’s hot!), since we will be wading through waist high grass!
We’ll be meeting at Rectory Farm, and for location follow the track that leads off north from Ridgeway near the Royal Chace Hotel, then opposite the farm buildings at the bottom there’s a gate leading into the planted field (EN2 8AB or https://goo.gl/maps/VydeHuLCP3jW12Sf9). We’ll be meeting by that gate. Parking is just round the corner along the farm buildings (https://goo.gl/maps/yFhQrk77QhS7MtCU9) – if those spaces are full then you can park closer to where we’re meeting on the west side of the buildings.
Meet at 10am, and we’ll finish at 3pm. Please bring a lunch and refreshment.
Please can each person volunteering complete the registration form below.
