Find out Thursdays – Learn about nature – The trees of Headstone

October 7 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join ecologist and author of Tree of Britain & Ireland, Ed Milner to discover more about the trees in the park. Ed’s walk will include the biology, history, management, ecology, and uses of the native trees found in the park . Find out more about how timber was traditionally used & which trees was used in the making of altar pieces, friezes, chair seats, ladles and canoes!

A professional ecologist, Edward Milner has more than 40 years experience writing and making films about the natural world and environmental issues. At the BBC he produced films for the acclaimed Natural History Unit and the Open University.

The activity is aimed at adults however children of 7+ years, accompanied by an adult, are welcome; the walk will be on and off footpaths in the park so may include walking over grassed areas or slightly uneven ground.

Date – 7th October 2021

Time – 10.00 am to 12 pm & repeated at 1.30pm – 3pm
