Join us for a rewarding day of hands-on conservation work as we restore the River Beck! Your efforts will help improve the river’s health and habitat for local wildlife.
On the day, you’ll be involved in various activities such as toe boarding removal, installing deflectors, and managing vegetation. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors, meet like-minded people, and make a tangible difference.
Important Information:
- Time: All events will run from 10:00 to 14:00 with a lunch break
- Location: Langley Waterside Nature Reserve, meet on South Eden Park Road (next to 82) (what three words: ///seat.exact.option). Google maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/E52pUWhqJ3DRTHVt6
- Travel: the nearest train station is Eden Park and the site is served by the 358 and SL5 buses.
- What to Bring: Please bring your own lunch and plenty of water.
- Facilities: Please note that there are no toilet facilities on site.
- Requirements: Volunteers must be able to perform physical work in the river and on unstable ground.
- Nearest Shop: The nearest shop is a Sainsbury’s Local by the station.
- Clothing: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for working in and around the river.
- Provided: We will provide waders and all necessary tools for the activities.
