London Rivers Week 2022: Bonesgate Balsam Bash – Hogsmill River

Join the South East Rivers Trust (SERT) for a balsam bashing session along the Hogsmill River.
The Bonesgate is a tributary of the Hogsmill River and is one of the upstream sources of Himalayan Balsam, an invasive plant that takes over river banks, outcompeting other plants and causing bank erosion. Join SERT to don waders and enter the river channel to pull these plants up by hand.
Meeting point: Entrance to the Bonesgate Open Space, Filby Road, Chessington, KT9 2AG.
Time: 10am-12.30pm
