Come and join us for a maintenance session in Dagenham Brook & Chestnuts Field Wetlands as part of London Rivers Week 2025!

Join the Friends of Chestnuts Field Group for a community clean-up day to help local wildlife and improve the health of the river. We’ll be picking up litter, clearing debris, and learning about the importance of wetlands for local rivers and ecology.

The event will involve working in the river, but if you have mobility or access requirements, we can arrange for you to help along the banks instead- just email lula.wattam@thames21.org.uk so we can accommodate you.

We’ll start at 11 AM and finish around 1 PM (or sooner if we clear all the litter!). Equipment and waders will be provided—please let us know your shoe size when booking so we can prepare the right gear for you.
