London Rivers Week 2025 panel debate: River Restoration Working with Nature for a Better Environment
June 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the organisers of London Rivers Week for a FREE exciting panel debate on river restoration as part of London Rivers Week 2025! Our event will take place at ZSL’s Huxley Lecture Theatre at London Zoo , where experts in the field will discuss the importance of restoring our rivers for the health of our environment and communities. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the best and get involved in the conversation.
River restoration restores essential physical and biological processes, to support thriving and diverse ecosystems. These processes can also assist in cleaning water, improve the environmental resilience to extreme events, and make spaces cherished by communities. There will be examples across London of the benefits but also the limitations of river restoration initiatives and the importance of linking to wider actions.
Speakers will be specifically discussing topics which involve water quality, flood management, and community impact and action.
Featuring talks by:
- Tom Cook, Biodiversity Technical Specialist at the Environment Agency
- Toni Guiver, Chair at Friends of Fir Farm
- Chantelle Lindsay, Wildlife Conservationist and Presenter
