London Rivers Week 2025: Protecting and Prioritising the River Pinn – a guided walk

June 4 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Please book this FREE event. Join Groundwork for a discovery walk along the River Pinn following the Celandine Walks route from Pinner to the Grand Union Canal. Please feel welcome to join us for just part of the way, or, if you’re feeling energetic, the whole route!

You can download the whole route or individual sections via this link: Celandine walks – Hillingdon Council

Along the way, we will be observing and noting pressures and impacts upon the River Pinn from water quality to habitats and wildlife.

We will also be learning about local history of the River Pinn as well as current activities happening on or close to the river from upstream to downstream, considering how these may in the past or present still be affecting the river.

Do you live nearby and have knowledge of the River Pinn? – We would love you to join us and share your stories!

A schedule for the day with timings for each section will be updated here closer to the event.

Please be prepared with comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and shoes, healthy snacks and plenty of water. Toilet and snack breaks will be incorporated into the day.

To receive updates, please sign up via Eventbrite, stating which part(s) of the walk you would like to join! It is not essential to sign up via Eventbrite, but everyone who does will receive updates on timings and other information relating to this event.
