London Rivers Week 2025: River Plastic Art Workshop
June 7 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Please book your FREE place here!
Join Brigitta Nagypal and Thames21 for a FREE creative, family-friendly art workshop at St Luke’s Primary School Dining Hall, Saunders Ness Road, Isle of Dogs, London E14 3EB on June 7th for a fun afternoon. We will create colourful, collage-style paintings using plastic waste collected from the foreshores of the River Thames.
Brigitta is a Fulham-based abstract artist who recently completed her Master’s degree in Graphic Design. Her final major project focused on plastic pollution in the River Thames. She is passionate about continuing this work and raising awareness of this pressing environmental issue, encouraging individuals and local communities to think differently and adopt more sustainable practices.
She has been exploring various art and design applications of plastic waste and has developed an innovative technique that incorporates colourful plastic pieces into her acrylic paintings. She’s excited to share it with you.
No previous experience is required, everyone is welcome. This workshop is entirely beginner-level. You don’t need to bring anything except yourself.
Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there for a fun art-making afternoon!
This workshop is FREE. Book early as there are limited places available.
