London Rivers Week: Honouring Mama Osun – Thames River Clean up and Ritual Offering

October 24 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

For London Rivers Week 2021, join us on the Thames at Battersea Bridge Southside to honour the river deity, Mama Osun, with a clean-up and collective offering to her sacred waters.

The Annual Osun River Ritual organisers and Thames21 are teaming up to invite you to a special tribute to the Mama Osun. Osun is the river deity (Orisa) of sweet waters. This spiritual practice dates back thousands of years and originates from Africa. This event also celebrates Black History Month as the Thames Connections Project comes to the end of its first year.

Registration for this event is essential via the link below where you can also find more info on the event. For any further questions, please contact our Thames Connections Officer: dilawar.hussain@thames21.org.uk

London Rivers Week is a partnership campaign run through London Rivers Restoration Group, a sub-group of the Catchment Partnerships in London. It is sponsored by Thames Water.
