London Rivers Week: Lower Crane River Walk
October 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Explore the lower Crane and hear about the restoration projects planned and delivered. This is an event put on by the Friends of the River Crane Environment (FORCE).
This will be an interesting walk and talk about the present and future opportunities for river improvement. It has been organised as part of London Rivers Week.
We shall start by the fountain outside the Brewery Wharf site on London Road, opposite Twickenham Station, and walk upstream to explore the lower River Crane, hearing about the river and habitat restoration projects both planned and delivered. The walk will be led by FORCE Trustees who have been working on these sites for almost 20 years. We aim to be back at the station by 12:30pm.
As we shall be walking over varied terrain and some of the ground may be muddy, please wear appropriate attire and footwear for the terrain and weather on the day.
Registration is essential: Please book on the FORCE website.
London Rivers Week is a partnership campaign run through London Rivers Restoration Group, a sub-group of the Catchment Partnerships in London. It is sponsored by Thames Water.
