London Rivers Week: Thames Connections Webinar (repeat)

Learn about the significance of rivers in the identity, culture and wellbeing of British Bangladeshis

This is a repeat of a presentation given in March for those who missed it.

Presentation on the symbolic and emotional meaning of rivers in Bangladeshi culture and identity. This includes how rivers are represented in Bangladeshi folk music as well as the way in which rivers may be connected with early experiences of growing up in rural areas.

Guest speaker, Dr Sidrah Muntaha is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with an interest in incorporating the arts in healthcare. She is particularly keen to support wellbeing initiatives within BAME communities and encourages the use of nature to emotionally connect and heal from adverse life experiences.
