Project Reedbed: Greening the Limehouse Cut FULL
September 6 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
This event is now full, please email Ben.Fenton@Thames21.org.uk if you would like to be added to the reserve list.
The Limehouse Cut is London’s oldest canal, and runs in almost a straight line from Bow Locks to Limehouse Basin on the Thames. It’s currently very grey with a great lack of vegetation, we’ve been funded to install 280 metres of new floating reedbeds, to ‘green up’ 11% of this waterway. This will provide habitats for wildlife, and hopefully improve the water quality.
Join us to help build these on land and lower them into the water!
