Restoring Enfield’s Rivers Event – Turkey Street River Action Day, 27.06.2021
June 27 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Turkey Brook is full of life, but also full of litter!
On our scouting trips along the Turkey Brook our team found fantastic numbers of fish and birds. Lots of little egrets use the waterway for hunting but they’re not the only predators.. Pike also use this river to prey on unsuspecting minnows. The Turkey Brook is an excellent vein of life, connecting Enfield to the countryside to the north, but also the Lea Valley to the East. Come down and help us re-wild the stretch of river by Turkey Brook Station. We will be removing litter and rubbish from the river banks and river bed to help return this stretch back to it’s natural state. We will also be (hopefully) spotting lots of lovely wildlife!
