Restoring Enfield’s Rivers Event – Wild Walk, Firs Farm Wetlands wildflowers and trees 22.06.2021
June 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Complete beginner or looking to brush up on your wildflower identification? We have the event for you!
Want to learn more about the world beneath your feet? Plants are the basis for all life and their importance in our ecosystems and the environment is inexpressible! There are around 1600 species of wildflower in Britain and Ireland all with complicated links to our pollinators and the greater food webs. Come and explore the wonders of the undergrowth with us and see what we can find living in a London hedgerow.
Thames 21 will be hosting a wildflower walk at Firs Farm Wetlands in partnership with the Friends of Firs Farm! This will be a casual event in which attendees will be encouraged to practice wildflower ID skills with the help of one of our experts. This is an event for all abilities and we encourage complete beginners as well as seasoned naturalists! If you have a book on wildflower please feel free to bring that along too!
