Restoring Enfield’s Rivers Event – Wild Walk, Turkey Brook ZSL Outfall Safari 15/06/2021
June 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Enfield Safari? Who would have thought!
But it’s true. Thames21 are surveying Enfield’s Rivers for sources of river pollution from outfalls. This is part of a ZSL project which aims to highlight sources of river pollutants throughout the River Lea catchment. Collecting this data is invaluable for protecting Enfield’s Rivers and the plants and animals that live in them.
This event is a river walk and will start at Turkey Street Station and finish at the River Lea Navigation (a short walk from Enfield Lock and Enfield Lock Station). It will be an educational walk, completing surveys on misconnections to river outfalls and of course we are always happy to talk about wildlife! The event will begin at 17:30 and end around 19:00.
Are you are interested in conservation? Your local community? Or just fancy a stroll down the Turkey Brook? We would love to see you there.
Everyone is welcome, but please register below.
Please also bring with you a snack and plenty of water. You can claim expenses for lunch and travel.
We look forward to meeting you and making a difference to your local river!
