River Clean Up – Isle of Dogs

January 23 @ 9:45 am - 11:30 am

UPDATE: This event is now closed for general admissions, however we still have spaces available to residents of the Isle of Dogs. If you are a local and wish to take part in this clean up please register by emailing either Zara ( or Rosa ( Please note we will be asking you for your postcode to ensure you are from the Isle of Dogs as we want to make sure the local community are represented.

Join Thames21 to clean-up the foreshore of the Isle of Dogs. The iconic bend of the Isle of Dogs unfortunately is the resting place of a range of litter including plastic, that despite years of cleaning continue to return in large numbers. Join us at low tide to remove as many as we can until the tide returns. This is a great opportunity to get onto the foreshore and see the river in a way many people living in the city don’t get to.

We provide the wellies and equipment. Please just dress appropriately for the weather.

  • If the weather looks unfavourable we will cancel the event by 5pm on Saturday 22nd January 2022. Please check your email after then.
  • This event is for children aged 10 or above. Children aged between 10 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Registration is essential. The link for registration is here.
