  • You are invited by Thames21 to be part of the solution to improve the Roundmoor Ditch by undertaking practical  river enhancements.
  • The enhancement works will be of natural methods and will involve installing; small deflectors, permeable berms, marginal planting, spiling and restoring river bank.
  • This project works in partnership with the Eton Wick Waterways Group, Thames Valley Angling Association, Dorney Court Estate, Eton College, Thames Water, and the Environment Agency.

Meet at the cattle grid, Tilestone Bridge, Roundmoor Ditch, Dorney Common, Eton Wick SL4 6NQ

Nearest rail stations are Slough (where you can get bus) and  Eton and Windsor Riverside – 40 minute walk from there.

13th/14th Oct 2018 10:30 – 14:30 Installation of deflectors.
27th/ 28th Oct 2018 10:30 – 14:30 Channel restoration. Installation of brushwood, spiling, and planting.
3rd/ 4th Nov 2018 10:30 – 14:30 Channel restoration. Installation of brushwood, spiling, and planting.
8th/ 9th Dec 2018 10:30 – 14:30 Channel restoration. Installation of brushwood, spiling, and planting.
15th/ 22nd Dec 2018 10:30 – 14:30 Channel restoration. Installation of brushwood, spiling, and planting.
Please note sessions may change do to environmental conditions. Updates will be given.
All equipment provided – please wear comfortable clothes.
