Thames Road Wetland
29th March 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Join Thames21 at the Thames Road Wetland to carry out some vegetation management.
This urban wetland is home to a vast range of species. It is host to twelve species of odonata, seven species of reptile and amphibian, and a growing suite of breeding and visiting birds, including one of the few Bittern’s recorded in Bexley. It is also home to a number of plants that are uncommon in London and Kent. Being an urban wetland the site needs to be maintained and looked after by Thames21 volunteers.
Come along and learn new skills while you help us to carry out some essential conservation improvements on the wetland.
Equipment will be provided but please wear suitable clothing.
Hope to see you there!
