Would you like to be able to identify the vital signs of a river and understand how to ‘health check’ your local river?
Join Thames21 for our one-day Vital Signs for Healthy Rivers Training Course on the River Ravensbourne at Brookmill Park on 21st May.
This course offers an introduction into what makes a river healthy with a focus on the physical processes and structure of a river and the functional habitat that the river and its surrounding area provides.
You will gain an understanding of the importance of protecting the ecology and natural processes of a river system while learning about some of the negative impacts rivers are facing and the consequences these can have.

Times:
10am – 12:30pm: classroom session in a room at The Brookmill Pub
12:30pm – 1:30pm: lunch
1:30pm – 3pm: we’ll be putting on waders and walking through the River Ravensbourne at Brookmill Park to have a closer look at some of the vital signs of a healthy river

This course is free and open to anyone aged 18 and over. 16 and 17 year olds may also attend but must be accompanied by an adult.
