Warming Mindful Walks on the Brent

You are invited to join Thames21 and Health and Happiness for All on warming mindful walks and river clean-ups along the River Brent.
Walking and working in nature is a great way to integrate mindfulness into our lives. These activities can:
- Contribute to physical wellbeing, improve blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and reduce the production of stress hormones
- Reduce “nature deprivation” that has been directly associated with depression
- Be part of the social prescribing movement in Brent: 28%-60% patients in Brent have a social problem (NHS average is 20%)
Brent Rivers and Communities Restoration project aims to empower local people through physical exercise and life skills that are directly beneficial to health and wellbeing, improving the quality of our day to day lives.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
Join us in these inclusive opportunities which will be open anyone who wants to be part of the river enhancement efforts or simply enjoy and celebrate our local nature.
The ‘Warming Mindful Walks’ will happen on:
1 February 2020: 10.30am – 12pm
27 February 2020: 10.30am – 1.30pm
Please wear warm and comfortable clothing.
