Water Quality Training Session for Citizen Scientists
April 29 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

As part of the Reclaim Our Rivers project, Thames21 will be running a water quality monitoring programme this summer, sampling weekly for bacterial pollution along the River Thames in Pangbourne between mid-May to the end of September 2025. This will constitute an incredibly important investigation into the health of the Thames and safety for wildlife and river users.
If you would like to be trained as a citizen scientist and get involved in the programme, come along to our free training session on 29th April from 5.20pm at Pangbourne Meadow. No need to be available every week during the programme – even if you’re only free to sample once, you’re welcome to take part.
We’ll explain more about the project, walk you through the methodology, and explain how the monitoring programme will run and what will be done with the data.
All equipment and PPE provided. Please wear sensible footwear and sun/rain protection. Kids welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Please register here.
