January 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Register for the webinar here: https://book.plinth.org.uk/e/9FId9fgOygUZ8hYgiW1j
Do you swim, row or kayak on rivers and want to keep as safe as possible? Are you concerned about river pollution but are overwhelmed with information and don’t know where to start?
This webinar wll instruct you how to use and make the most of the Oxford Rivers Portal to find accurate, up-to-date information on rivers in Oxfordshire.
On a single map, the Oxford Rivers Portal shows:
- Near-real time and historic sewage spills
- Bacteria levels at bathing water sites
- Flood warnings
- River level
- Environment Agency water quality data
- Citizen science water quality data
- Rainfall
and more.
The webinar will introduce the portal and show you how to use it to view current river conditions and to investigate river pollution over the last 3 years. We will give a brief overview of Thames21’s projects in the Oxford area which you can get involved in, and have a Q&A at the end.
Once you have registered, the link for the online meeting (Teams) will be emailed to you. The webinar will be recorded and put on YouTube to view at a later date.
