Xcel Leisure Centre, Elmbridge: Maidenhead – Sunbury Community Engagement Catchment Plan Open Day

12th January 2013

Free

As part of the pilot on the Thames in the  Maidenhead to Teddington Catchment; including  the significant tributary from Bracknell, The Cut, and the smaller tributaries rising from Slough; such as the Salthill Stream and Chalvey Ditches.

We would like to hear your views about the river, what are your concerns about the river and its usage, what improvements would you like to see on your reach of the Thames, where do you feel there are opportunities for improvement, are you willing or interested to be a part of the pilot or be involved with your river to help protect and improve it?

The information you provide will help shape the ‘Pilot Catchment Plan’ Thames21 are helping to develop.  The pilot will aim to address issues that are vital for the river’s sustainability and welfare, and provide long-term recommendations for improvements in water quality and ecological health. The pilot will also give those connected with, care about, or want to be involved with their river the opportunity to be involved and have a say in the future of the river. From it we hope to have a list of practical ideas and projects which support delivery of the aims of the pilot and Water Framework Directive.

Please come along to one of the open days. Your contributions and involvement is important to this.
