DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxing riverside walk along the River Roding\, as it winds its way to Barking Creek and meets the Thames. \nThis is a great chance to connect with nature as we explore the riverside and nature reserve. We’ll be taking in the sights and sounds of the landscape\, spot local wildlife\, and take some photographs along the way. \nIt’s also a great opportunity to connect with others who care about this local space. We’ll be chatting about the river’s accessibility and what you want to see done to make it a more welcoming space for the community and you can also share your ideas as to how you want to get involved with the river’s restoration. SUMMARY:Dollis Brook Revival - River Restoration Project
DESCRIPTION:Join us to bring the Dollis Brook back to life!  \nA total of 8 fun and interactive volunteer events will be held throughout the winter season to restore the Dollis Brook to its former glory. \nActivities include toeboard removal to reconnect the brook to its floodplain\, deflector installation and invasive vegetation management. \nWhere to meet: \nLongland Drive – What 3 Words: lift.fumes.cargo (about half way down – look for the Thames 21 van) \nNearest tube – Totteridge & Whetstone \nWhat to Bring: \nDress for the weather and the task – long trousers and sleeves are advisable as there are nettles and brambles. \nPlease bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids. \nWe will bring tea/coffee and biscuits. \nWe will provide all other equipment (including wellies) needed for the event and we look forward to welcoming you! \nEmail charlie.southard@thames21.org.uk if you have any questions. \nAnyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
