SUMMARY:Oxleas Woods – Slowing the Flow
DESCRIPTION:Join us to turn Oxleas Woods into a flood-fighting\, biodiversity-boosting powerhouse! \nThis winter\, join us for 15 fun and hands-on volunteer events as we transform Oxleas Woods into a thriving wet woodland. Together\, we’ll help slow the flow of floodwater\, protect downstream communities\, and create a vibrant habitat for wildlife. \nLast year\, we installed 16 leaky dams along the River Wogebourne\, which flows through the heart of the woodland. This year\, we are extending this work to the smaller tributaries of the Wogebourne\, helping to retain even more water within the woodland.
