Thames21 responds to Channel 4’s Dispatches Drama Series ‘Dirty Business’

The Dispatches drama series Dirty Business, currently on Channel 4,  highlights serious concerns that communities and environmental groups have been raising for years. It raises difficult questions about sewage pollution, river health, and public safety, issues that require urgent and transparent action.

Thames21 has long raised the alarm about the impact of untreated sewage on our rivers. We want water companies to prioritise river health, invest in effective treatment and infrastructure, and be held accountable when they fail to meet environmental standards.  Protecting our rivers requires collective action, from government, regulators, environmental organisations, investors, and water companies. By working together, we can improve the health of our waterways and protect the communities who depend on them.
