Photography Competition winner announced!

As part of the Big Waterways Clean Up 2012, we put out a call for ‘the best images of the waterways of the Olympic host boroughs’, in Thames21’s annual photography competition.

Evocative images depicting these diverse rivers and canals under the world’s spotlight came in thick and fast. However, there can only be one winner, and Mark Heather’s beautiful still monochrome image below took the title at last weeks private viewing.

Mark won a £50 Amazon Voucher and his photo is being featured in an exhibition along with 14 other competition finalists at Millers House Café, Bromley by Bow.

The winning photographs were inspired by nature, London 2012, sport and people enjoying the rivers and canals of the Olympic host boroughs.

The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 10am-3pm for one month. For more information, please contact Ben Fenton: ben.fenton@thames21.org.uk, 07920 230 970.
