Thames21 success at the Bexley Environmental Challenge Awards.
Thames21’s River Cray and River Shuttle projects again stood out at the Bexley Environmental Challenge Awards. The projects were submitted as one entry, and were successful in winning prizes in two categories.
The projects came away with a Silver Gilt award and two trophies for the Community Award. The Community Award recognises a contribution made to the wider community in addition to environmental benefits.
River Shuttle Coordinator, Joanne Bradley and River Cray Coordinator Michael Heath, were delighted at the recognition their respective projects were given.
Joanne told her volunteers: “Both of these awards would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of all of our volunteers. Thank you for the work you all do both on the ground and behind the scenes. The projects are a real team effort and Michael and I thoroughly enjoy working with you all. We are very grateful for all your support over the past year.”
