London Rivers Week 2026

London Rivers Week will be back from Saturday 23^rd May to Sunday 31^st May 2026.

London Rivers Week (LRW) is a week-long annual campaign inspiring the public to celebrate all of London’s rivers and the many projects taking place to protect them.

2026 will be a landmark year for London Rivers Week, marking the festival’s 10th anniversary. The celebrations will highlight a decade of river restoration successes and showcase the achievements of the communities who have helped bring London’s waterways to life.

While the full programme is still being crafted, our team is working behind the scenes to bring together an unforgettable celebration filled with creativity, culture, and community.

Get ready for an action-packed programme of free adventures—from inspiring guided walks and hands-on river clean-ups to vibrant cultural events, dynamic webinars, and fun-filled, family-friendly activities.

The event is organised by the London Rivers Week Steering Group on behalf of River Partnerships in London (RiPL), including the Environment Agency, Thames21, South East Rivers Trust, London Wildlife Trust, ZSL, CPRE London, and the Thames Estuary Partnership.
