Big Wet Wipe Count

May 10 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Volunteers cleaning the foreshore

Book your place here!

Help protect the River Thames by measuring the impact of wet wipes deposited on its shores!

Join Thames21 to gather crucial data on the wet wipes settling in the Thames by getting down and dirty to count them!

Every time it rains in London, the sewers overflow which means the wet wipes that people flush down the loo end up the river. The problem is now so bad that hundreds of thousands are depositing on the river bed.

To assess the scale of the problem, we are looking for volunteers to survey the wet wipes on the foreshore and record the final number.

Children under 16 need to be supervised by an adult. This event is not suitable for children under 10 years old.

This is an event designed for the community to engage the local public with the river and not for corporates. If you are interested in a bespoke corporate volunteer day. Please visit our website
