Thames21 Code of Conduct for Volunteers

What you can expect from Thames21:

A well organised and supervised activity by qualified Thames21 staff

An inclusive activity where each volunteer, trustee and supporter of Thames21 is shown respect and their input and opinion valued

Help and assistance whilst on a Thames21 activity, all appropriate actions taken to ensure the activity is safe and enjoyable for all participants

What Thames21 expects from you:

  • To fully engage in the activity and listen to and take any direction from Thames21 staff, Activity leader or ESC during the activity
  • To respect all Thames21staff, the activity leader or ESC(s), as well as fellow volunteers and any other persons involved in Thames21 activities
  • To not be divisive or disruptive during the Thames21 activity

Not to use any inappropriate, behaviour, language that is racist, sexist, homophobic or ableist or physical actions (including sexual harassment), towards Thames21 staff, ESCs, volunteers or other members of the public

Any inappropriate behaviour, language or physical actions towards Thames21 staff or other volunteers will not be tolerated at Thames21 activities.

It is the responsibility of Thames21 staff and organisers to report any misconduct by volunteers to a senior manager at Thames21 immediately.

Misconduct if identified, will be treated very seriously. Thames21 reserves the right to permanently exclude any individual from any Thames21 activity, should inappropriate behaviour against Thames21 staff or volunteers occur.
