How the project works

The river Thames is a resource for everyone to enjoy – by path, water or riverbed. We help Londoners enjoy and project it.

Our approach involves

  • Working alongside local communities to understand how they value the river and how they might better benefit from the it
  • Skilling up Londoners to monitor the river’s health to inform policy solutions to the threats the river faces
  • Supporting people to become leaders in river protection via training to lead their own events and to become public advocates

Our key areas of work are between Sands End in the west and the Isle of Dogs peninsula in the east.

The project is closely related to the InNoPlastic project which is developing innovative means of removing plastics from aquatic environments.

We are very grateful to our funders Thames Water and Tideway.
