London Rivers Week 2026: Riverside Creativity Day at St Mary’s Church Battersea
Celebrate London Rivers Week with a free, fun-filled, family day of creativity inspired by the beauty of the River Thames. Join us, along with our friends at St Mary’s Church Battersea, for a relaxed riverside picnic and an enjoyable day by the water.
Date: Sunday 24th May
Time: 12pm to 2pm
Spend time outside this historic church – where poet and artist William Blake was married and where artist J.M.W. Turner once painted – and let the surroundings spark your imagination. Get hands-on with badge making with artist Shona Coyne, take part in an embroidery workshop, and explore your creative side in a welcoming, laid-back setting.
Come along to create, connect with your local river, and soak up the vibrant riverside atmosphere.
Please note: All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
