Thames21 mobilise communities to take action on London's waterways. We run clean ups and discovery events for people of all ages across the capital. Join us today and help bring London's waterways to life.

Thursday 9 October

Cray River Clean-up

Join staff from Thames21 on the Cray River to help remove litter and improve the waterways in Bexley. Work will involve waders, rope and grapple, barrowing and litter-picking. All equipment provided.

TIME: 10am - 2pm
LOCATION: St Mary's Recreation Ground, Lesley Close, Bourne Road, Bexley. AKA Old Bexley or Bexley Village.

Nearest train station is Bexley.

Sunday 12 October

Ladywell Fields Clean-up - River Ravensbourne

Come along and join Thames21 to clean up the River Ravensbourne. Everyone is welcome, all you need is lots of enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in and get muddy! Wellington Boots, gloves and socks will be provided.

TIME: 1.30pm - 4.00pm
MEETING POINT:Malyons Road entrance of Ladywell Fields, Lewisham. SE13 7XF

Sunday 19 October

Crayford Tidal Creek Clean-up

Join staff from Thames21 at Crayford Tidal Creek to help remove litter and improve the waterways in Crayford. Work will involve lifting and barrowing debris, moving brickwork and concrete. Please be aware work will be muddy!

TIME: 9am - 1pm
LOCATION: Centurion Place, next to the Thames Road A206 bridge, Crayford. Next to the Jolly Farmers PH.

Crayford Clean-up

Join staff from Thames21 to help remove litter and improve the waterways in Crayford. Work will involve low level willow cutting, rope and grapple, barrowing and some boat work.

TIME: 10am - 3pm
LOCATION: Maiden Land Bridge, off Crayford Way, Crayford.

Thames21 Big Tidy Up Training Day

The Thames21 Big Tidy Up Training Day is an ideal way to learn how to put together a waterway clean-up event. Maybe you've noticed a grot-spot on a river near you that you would like to clean and are unsure how to go about doing it, or perhaps you have a group of volunteers interested in improving your local canal. This FREE day run by Thames21 will provide you with everything you need to know...
