Volunteering Opportunities in 2010

Thames21 mobilise communities to take action on London's waterways. We run clean-ups and discovery events for people of all ages across the capital. Walk around the Lea River Park

Join us for our regular weekly health walks around the Lea River Park area, with Walk Tower Hamlets. The walks will take in local sites and nature spots and are dog friendly. Read more about the Lea River Park.

Cray River Open Day

Come along and join in some of the fun activities on offer including using an underwater camera! The open day is suitable for all the family and you'll be able to find out more about what the Bexley Riverkeeper Volunteers have been doing to improve this area.

East London Photography Exhibition

As part of Thames21's River Rescue programme in East London, we are asking people to send us their pictures of East London's waterways. Selected pictures will be used in an exhibition at the Miller's House Cafe, Bromley by Bow.

West London Fun Day

A family fun day in West London with various activities to get involved with. Participants will be able to join in with Thames21's art attack and help create a unique foreshore artwork. We'll be building boats made from foreshore materials and exploring the critters that lurk in the Thames!

East London Fun Day

A family fun day in East London with various activities to get involved with. Participants will be able to build a boat made from recycled materials (provided) and race them along the Limehouse Cut. Bird watching and a quiz trail will guide you through the nature of East London!
