London Rivers Week – Action for Silk Stream – Wildflower Identification Workshop

Join us on a Beginners Botanical Walk as part of London Rivers Week. We will identify wildflowers and plants growing along the banks of the Burnt Oak Brook and the surrounding green spaces of Lyndhurst Park and The Meads Open Space.
We’ll introduce the basics of botanical identification, noticing leaf shapes, flower structures and other key features that help us recognise common species. We’ll also shine a light on the overlooked: common “weeds” and urban plants that thrive in urban river environments, uncovering their ability to cope with environmental pressures.
We will provide Basic ID tools (magnifiers and botanical guides)
